Youth in Agriculture

Despite the decline in interest for agriculture as a career there are still young farmers working all over the world. To encourage others to join the sector it is vital that the existing farmers are offered a voice, and that we take note of what the young farmers have to say. Particularly this includes giving young farmers a chance to offer their opinion and experiences about the industry that is being ignored by the youth today. In this way, they can show other young people that farming can be a rewarding career as well as highlighting the important role of agriculture on a global scale. A younger generation can help introduce new technologies whilst also learning from traditional methods, holding the potential to offer the perfect fusion of new and traditional solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges in agriculture. Krishi- International Agriculture trade Fair and Conference aims to motivate, educate and reward the youths and encourage them to opt for this field as their career option.
The first episode of YAG followed the stories of about 350 young farmers across the state, appreciated and rewarded the young farmers for their efforts and skills in the agriculture. The programme aimed to defy stereotypes and demonstrate that there is a role for young people in the agriculture industry.

Krishi Dairy Expo 2015

Dairy is an undivided sector of agriculture. Due to a significant rise and development of the industry, it has become an independent sector altogether. Considering its increasing demand as a profitable enterprise and more and more farmers turning towards commercial dairy farming as an option, there is an urgent need to educate and update the farmers to keep them ahead with the latest technology and applications, to make it a more profitable enterprise. Taking a cue from the first edition of dairy expo which was highly appreciated by the exhibitors and farmers for its innovative sessions and technology from all over India, we are geared up to undertake its second edition.
